French driver parks car in Metro
A driver of a 4 wheel drive vehicle, in the centre of Paris, mistook the entrance to the Metro for the entrance to
an underground Car Park.
A confused tourist in Paris was red-faced after attempting to drive down into a Paris Metro station.
The driver was looking for a car park for nearby shops when he drove towards the entrance.
Amazingly no-one was injured in the accident and as no damage was caused Paris traffic police say he will not
be prosecuted.
Speaking after the accident the 26-year-old Frenchman said: "There was a sign indicating parking for the shops,
so that's how I made the mistake. Luckily there wasn't anyone on the steps."
