Man gets £70 fine after double yellow lines painted under his parked car
A Frustrated driver from Manchester, UK was given a £70 parking ticket yesterday after double
yellow lines were painted underneath his parked Ford Fiesta.
He was even angrier when he saw spots of yellow paint on the front of his car.
The 49-year-old builder, who regularly parked his car in the same place outside his house said
yesterday, "I couldn’t believe my eyes. They had painted yellow no parking lines under my car.
Then a traffic warden put a parking fine on my windscreen."
'I was furious", he said. "It has been my regular parking spot for two years and there was nothing
to indicate I couldn’t park there."
The city council has since cancelled the parking fine and issued a statement saying, "We apologise
for any inconvenience."
