1. throw in the towel - when you give up and stop doing something.
2. see something through - to do something until it is finished.
3. take something lying down - to accept something unpleasant without
fighting back.
4. out of the loop - to not know something that a select group of people
knows. (The opposite, ¨to be in the loop,¨ means to be part of a select
group with knowledge that others do not have.)
5. ground-breaking - new and innovative.
