Gorilla Protects Young Boy Before Being Shot

A 17-year-old gorilla was killed by zoo staff after a 4-year-old boy went into its cage.
The gorilla took the boy by the hand, and lead him to a bush next to a small lake.

Visitors to the zoo who saw the incident say that the gorilla seemed to be protecting
the boy and was only disturbed by the screams of the crowd.

After a few minutes the gorilla was shot by zoo staff and the boy was lead to safety.
