A Strange Day
I walked out of my flat and closed
the door.
It was 10am on a sunny Monday morning and the streets were empty.
‘That’s strange’, I thought. ‘Where is everyone?’
I walked to the supermarket and saw a long queue of people waiting to go
inside.
As one person came out, another went in.
The shelves in the supermarket were almost empty.
No toilet paper, no rice, no bread and no milk. Was it the end of the
world?
The beach was closed. There were police cars blocking the road and I was
told to
go back to my flat and stay at home.
This could be the start of a zombie movie, or a science fiction story.
Sadly, it actually happened to me yesterday!
