The Best Electric Car

What was the best electric car on the market in 2020?
Could it be the Tesla Model 3? The BMW i3, perhaps? Or what about the Honda e? No, none of the above.
According to the much-respected Top Gear car reviewers, it's the Porsche Taycan which, to be honest, I'd never heard of.
I didn't even know that Porsche made electric cars. But then, I'm not really a petrol head. I just have a passing interest in cars.
The Taycan is very fast, taking you from 0 to 60 miles an hour in 3.8 seconds. It charges quickly and it's practical enough to use as an everyday car. Let's face it, if you're paying over 100,000 euros for a car, you’d want to get your use out of it, wouldn't you?
As a side note, the Taycan Turbo S model (S for sport) will set you back around 200,000 euros
Charging time goes from 5 to 80 per cent in 23 minutes. And you can expect to drive 280 miles, that's about 450 kilometres on one charge. So, I'd be able to drive from Valencia to Madrid, but I wouldn't make it back again unless I charged the battery.
The design inside the car is minimal, as you might expect, and the 27.6 centimetre touch screen pretty much does everything you'll need.
One of Porsche’s main competitors is Tesla, and their P100D model competes well with the Taycan. However, if you’re after the driving experience of the Porsche 911, and want the best electric car out there, Top Gear recommends the Taycan. If, of course, you can afford it!
