Turkey goes to dentist

An employee at a dentist's office in California received a scare when a large turkey came crashing through a window and into the patient consultant area.

The dental nurse phoned the police and she was referred to Wildlife Rescue, which sent someone to the scene to remove the turkey.

‘It wasn’t easy’ said the nurse, ‘the turkey put up quite a fight and did not want to leave’.

The wildlife rescue said the turkey did not appear to be seriously injured and will be released back into the wild. The turkey may have been more energetic than usual because of the current mating season for the birds.
