Mass nude photo in Australia
raises awareness for skin cancer
The famous Bondi beach in Sydney Australia was the stage
for thousands of people who took off their clothes for
cancer last Saturday.
A famous New York photographer organised the crowd into
a group before taking the photo.
The photographer collaborated with a charity to raise
awareness about melanoma which is Australia's fourth
most common form of cancer.
The government estimates that this year more than 17,000
new cases of skin cancer will be diagnosed in Australia,
and more than 1,200 Australians will die from the
disease.
About 2,500 people took part in the photo.
