Schools Instructed to
call students "Purple Penguins"
A school in Nebraska, US has been instructed to call
their pupils “purple penguins”
instead of girls and boys to be fair to transgender
students.
They want to help to create a gender sensitive and
inclusive environment for the
children and they think that transgender children may
feel left out if the teacher
calls them boys and girls.
They say it isn’t fair to label students either a boy or
a girl and prefer the term
“purple penguin”.
Is this a good idea or is it political correctness gone
