Late for Work
Maria did not have much time. It
was quarter past seven and time to go to work. She had to be in the
office at 8 o’clock and she didn’t want to be late for work again!
She would lose her job if she was late again and her boss was not very
nice. She finished her coffee and put the coffee cup in the kitchen sink.
She fed the cat, picked up her car keys from the kitchen table and ran
into the bedroom.
She picked up her bag and her black jacket from the wardrobe and ran
outside.
‘My purse!’, she thought. ‘I mustn’t forget my purse. I’ll need money
for lunch’. She ran inside, found her purse and ran back out to her car,
closing and locking the front door behind her.
